You can specify lifetime manager in RegisterType method at the time of registering type-mapping. The first thing you need to understand is that the container is an object like any other. If you new up another one then it's a different instance.

A LifetimeManager that holds onto the instance given to it. When the ContainerControlledLifetimeManager is disposed, the instance is disposed with it.
